It can be easy to memorize the fruit of the Spirit and it can also be easy to “look” like we are bearing the fruit but. Have you ever watched yourself to see if you are faking the fruit of the Spirit of God?
We can get caught up in wanting others to think we have it all together but that is very dangerous for us and the truth about our actual relationship to God
Faith in Motion:
Write out the fruit of the Spirit and beside each attribute give yourself an honest rating between 0 and 10 (0 being shows no fruit in this category and 10 being always shows fruit in this category). Be honest NOT self punishing. Remember Jesus already took the punishment.
Once you’ve rated yourself write out one example that supports the rating and one example of how you can improve. Do this for each fruit.
Now, go out and try doing what you said you could do to improve.
