Be hearers AND doers

The book of James has been so helpful to me as I try to be a student of Jesus. This particular passage has so much in it that I wanted to ponder it.

Are you a person gifted to listen or do you have “the gift of gab”?

For those of us ‘talkers’, are we willing to be taught to listen?

For both listeners and talkers. Do we hear the word of God and DO something about it or are we simply hearing it and going about our normal routine?

Faith in Motion

For 24 hrs every time you communicate with someone and feel like there’s something that you want to say, or you feel the urge to interrupt or interject with your thought. Put it aside and listen to what they have to say. If they aren’t saying anything. Ask them something so they feel safe to share. But no matter what BE SLOW TO SPEAK and quick to listen.

Now, Go out and DO that thing you’ve felt God telling you to do.
