I liked hearing the birds, and just listening to what God has to say. I think sometimes we need to be like Samuel, and ask God to speak.. I know I am not always in tune to God because I am not quiet and still for long. Thanks for a great reminder of the need to be still and listen.
I love the walks where we are led to contemplate God's creation and to be still before His greatness and majesty.
Looking at this landscape it is impossible not to see the power of God. Canada has such a harsh winter and then spring comes with this vivid green, sun and everything we see in these images.
When you talk about birdsong, it reminded me of Eugene H. Peterson's "Notes and Reflections" in "The Message Study Bible", when he writes, in Genesis, about the seasons and Creation and says that we are immersed in musical rhythms.
This biblical version is worth reading - do you have this version, Donny?

I enjoyed the quietness of this prayer walk. On my nature walks, I often just take in the beauty and sounds of God's creation. God is so good at being good.
I certainly enjoyed this Donny! I listened while on my walk this morning, the birds there are just as lovely as the ones I’ve heard this morning here. Being still builds up my Faith more each time. Learning to shut out the world and just listen to God speak to you through his creation is a miracle. No one can give us that kind of peace and security. Thank you once again. Have a blessed day ♾️✝️
While listening to your accompaniment of birds and even the distant train I found solice in those sounds. My dog was next to me desiring my attention. He will place his paws on my arm to show he needs me. I was barely able to type this. I think God does this to try to hold my attention. I’ve learned not to be anxious but to listen and when I don’t God will place something on my heart I can’t shake until I go to Him about it. Just like my dog leaning on me for a loving hug, I lean into God’s love to feel His love for me and listen to the Holy Spirit. I’ve seen His glory in my own child. I sure do listen a lot more. Thanks for the insight.

I do not have this "version" of the bible. I prefer to stick with direct translation of the original word.
Thanks for answering, but "The Message Study Bible” maintains the entire biblical text, Shepherd Eugene only adds notes and reflections.
