Good morning Donny! “It is finished” are powerful words Jesus said dying on the cross. Similar words came into my mind last week confirming to me that God will indeed “finish what He started.” In other words, I believe He will finish what He started with me, and it will be completed the day He calls me to my eternal home. I ask myself a lot of questions which I reflect on. And recently when I did this, God reminded me especially around the words, “He’ll finish what He started,” Galatians 2:20 came to mind. “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” If I remember and trust that, it is finished, and I will trust that He will finish what He started through me until the day He calls me home. This is what I celebrate and Donny, thank you for this reminder! I also thank and praise God for it also!

What it settled and finished is that we are no longer controlled by sin and death and are free to live fully in God's blessings. While his work of salvation is finished, our living out that salvation is not. I don't believe it's wrong to have dreams and goals, but I think we must hold them loosely, giving God the room to guide and direct us into His will for us. Sometimes he gives us the desires of our hearts, and sometimes he takes us a completely different direction. But like you, I often forget to celebrate the victory I have because of what He has done for us through Jesus. Thanks for this reminder today. The video was great, equipment or not.

Donny, a great, inspiring prayer walk/talk today, I have been absent the past couple of months and today's walk resonated with me in regards to my relationship with God. What you shared today and the questions you had for us, got me thinking about "it is finished"...I believe it is finished in that Jesus "paid" for our sins...I believe what is not finished is how we live our lives. For me it's living my life with showing the love of Jesus through my actions, words, and faith..that's the part I need to finish. A great reminder walk for me today...blessings!

Donny what powerful words. I’ve only thought of what God says on Good Friday When he says It Is Finished but it’s gone is seconds. When you said to think on his words I believe just as you said he for filled his promise to God that the people would be free of sin. I also believe we are not finished with what God as called us to do until he calls us home. God is always by my side he never leaves me. He’s been by my side through all my medical issues which I’m so grateful. Psalm 23 is my go to verse anytime I feel I need uplifting in my life. I read that Psalm and it lets me know even in the mist of trials he’s there to bring me out of the valley and gives me hope and rest. He never gives us more than we can handle. He wants us to turn to him on everything. Thank you Donny for such a powerful message. Blessings to you my friend.

Shari, thank you for sharing your favorite scripture-Psalm 23, this was my mother favorite one as well, I remember the night before she passed, I read it to her and early the following morning she passed away. I saw her when she took her last breath. I felt the presence of God. My mother loved us so much, I tell people all the time If I've never been loved, I've been loved and know what love is and how it is supposed to feel. I feel that my mother accomplished what she was supposed to have accomplish and that was to spread love and to touch those around her with her love, and in that regard her work was finished. And that God was with her when she finished. It was the most beautiful memory of my mother being taken away from her family by God and that I got to read the 23rd Psalm to her on her transition. Thank you for sharing. With Love.

Gloria we witnessed something so beautiful on both days we lost our loved ones. We hold dear and to our hearts what God wanted us to feel that day. We can know with our a doubt we will see them again.

Another great Prayer walk and so much to think about. There are moments in my life where I can honestly say It Is Finished but other moments that still need to be worked on. Continued blessings to you. Listening to your Prayer Walk this morning on my way to work made my day brighter.

Sometimes we get to a place in our lives where age is a factor. We make friends and find out we don’t know how long we have left. My brother didn’t make it to 74. I’m four years younger than him. He was doing everything possible to stay alive and here for his grandchildren. Sadly I see people on different levels and you can’t fit into their lives. They boast Jesus but the light isn’t there. Now I know Jesus is with me and when my life is over He will take me home. I want to be here for others but also accepted. When I stop feeling accepted then I feel ready to leave. I stay out of the church because I do accept others but many are trying to change me whom God has made. I’m on a path now of life’s uncertainty not yet finished.

Donny, thank you for the question It is finished...Isn't it? I shared a post earlier when I mentioned that my mother had passed away. I watched her take her last breath; It was several hours before I read her Psalm 23, I shared that with Shari after reading her post. It was the first time that I've seen anyone to take their last breath, I felt the presence of God watching over her while she was making that transition. I feel that she had accomplished her mission in life. I'm a strong believer that we all have a mission that only we can fulfill, and my mother fulfilled hers and when that time came that she was ready because it is finished... My mother mission was to spread love. I know what love is and what it feels like thank to my mother. So, when my mother left, she had finished the task that was assigned to her, and it read "It is finished...Isn't it," in the presence of God. Thank you. With Love.

What a beautiful day to be out in about in Tn, unfortunately here in northern Michigan we have haze smoke filled skies drifting over from our neighbors to the north of us, which is Canada, people here with allergies can't be out in it for too long. I've finished a lot of things in my life journey so far and am in the process of completing my military story with pictures from different ERAs to be place in the Historical Women Memorial in Washington, DC. Life comes with extraordinary people who share their life path with others. I still offer kindness which is an essence part of my happy learning life. It is a truly magical day when I can finish several ongoing projects and move on to the next new day. I truly understand that what I do is making a difference in someone else life! Just like you do every day, Donny. Thanks for sharing another pray walk. Have a wonderful day wherever you maybe at.

Good afternoon, Donny. Thank you so much for sharing your prayer walk, 'It Is Finished.' When I was listening to your talk, my mind kept going back to the song from the Christian Rock music group Petra, who say, "It is Finished". Whenever you get a moment, check out this song on YouTube from Petra. I believe these are powerful words to take away from your presented video message. It makes you think and question what you have finished, or not finished, or need to finish. I like how you were able to link how you are walking in your faith in your everyday life, and how we should take a look at how we are walking as Christ's believers in our daily routines. Thank you again for sharing and helping all of us take that second look and ponder how we might need to fix ourselves to walk differently in the light of how others perceive us.

Beautiful country! I think the words are letting us know that what Jesus did on the cross for us completed his mission-that we were forgiven of our sins if we just believe. For us, I think God wants us to do His will bringing others to Jesus, until He calls us home to live with Him, then it will be finished. God wants us to share His words and love until the end of our lives.

Thank you for another wonderful prayer walk. I feel Jesus's words on the cross " IT IS FINISHED" is God telling us his plan of salvation was completed that he gave his only son to save us. The birth, death AND resurrection was and is his total plan of salvation. John 3:16 !

Thanks again for the prayer walk and looking forward to the next one. Prayers.

I enjoyed your "walk" today as it reminded me of the golf holes that I played this week. Beautiful nature all around. I will be 90 next week and can say "It is finished". Whatever transpires from now on is in God's hands. I worry that some things have not been finished and then I look out over my little lake and realize that it matters nought. So I shall continue to do the work I do in the community and enjoy the rewards. And I am going to jump out of an airplane on my big day and relish in the thrill of it all. Take care friend and blessings always.

Thank you once again - a couple things that really stood out to me this week were, the way people who truly believe "it is finished" live their lives and the "fear in actually giving yourself wholly and to trust in God's word".

First - as I have mentioned before My Granny and my beautiful friend, Delores both have so much faith in God and his word that they are truly able to live life following their faith. There is never judgement or ridicule just love and grace for all they come in contact with. I strive to live this way - but, I know I am on a journey to get there.

Second - For myself, I feel I live in a way that represents my own faith and that God sees this. However, I can also see very often my faults and my wavering trust in actually giving everything up and letting things fall as they may. Throughout life I have been let down over and over. It is hard to have "blind faith" when you are fearful of the outcomes. I always try to think about how I am doing things and the lasting effects my actions may have, yet deep in my soul I know it is OK to give to God.

Living by faith is a true challenge and I am always so inspired by these prayer walks and how you are living your life completely following God's path for you. Prayers as always that your answers come sooner than later and that you are always guided by your remarkable faith.

Thank you for sharing Robin. Your comment "it's hard to have 'blind faith'." stirred in me and I wanted to share a couple scriptures you may wish to consider.

1 Peter 3:15-16 ...but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.

Romans 12:3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.

What I glean from these is:

- faith in Christ isn't blind

- the amount of faith each of us have is a gift from God. Which means we could ask him for more.

I hope this is encouraging to you.

Thank you @donnymac both of these scriptures really resonated with me. I will admit I am not as schooled in the Bible as I would like to be, I am working in this. The verses from 1 Peter hit me as very profound and powerful. Thank you so much sharing these.
